Karen is one of our dedicated Education Apprenticeship Assessors at Varsity Training, bringing a rich and inspiring background in education leadership to the role. Her career spans several decades and includes two successful Secondary Headships, during which she was proud to contribute to the nationally recognised London Challenge and lead a range of international Arts initiatives.

As an Executive Primary Principal, Karen championed innovation through creativity, embedding the Arts at the heart of the curriculum. Her philosophy—‘Learning is Everything and Everything is Learning’—has underpinned her mission to develop both world-ready and test-ready learners. She has driven impactful change using film, Apple technology, and green initiatives to break boundaries and transform learning experiences across diverse school contexts.

Karen has also served as a National Leader of Education (NLE) and School Improvement Partner (SiP), offering strategic guidance and support to schools across the UK. She is a respected member of several global education advisory groups and continues to influence the sector through her visionary thinking and deep commitment to learner-centred practice.
