Come and see us at the Quality Matters Conference 16th June 2015 UWE

The 12th Annual Conference will be held on Tuesday 16th June 2015 at UWE (University of West of England) Conference and Exhibition Centre Filton Road, Stoke Gifford, Bristol BS34

The Quality Matters conference will look at the changes to learning and development, the new Care Certificate and other workforce changes that have taken place. It will also look at the CQC inspection process and how this is helping care providers to provide an improved and quality service. The focus on learning, development, assessment and observation of all staff in a care service is paramount when providing a quality service.

Workshops will focus on aspects of ensuring that you can and do provide a quality service.

Varsity Training will be on stand 8 and it would be great to say hello.  We’ll have full details on all of the services we offer and be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Alzheimer’s Society CPD day

Attended an Alzheimer’s Society CPD day today on understanding Dementia. A really well put-together day looking at the physiological effects of various type of dementia. We then went on to look at the work of Tom Kitwood, in relation to personhood and aspects of effective communication. The day finished off with an overview of the effect that dementia can have on an individual’s senses and perceptions. All-in-all, a great day in a great location, behind Tower Bridge in London.
