Developing Expertise in Inclusive Practice

Our new SEND pathway embeds specialist knowledge, practical experience and inclusive approaches throughout the apprenticeship. Designed for schools and academy trusts, it supports Teaching Assistants to deepen their expertise, develop confidence and make a meaningful difference to the children and young people they support.

SEND-Integrated Learning
Specialist SEND knowledge and inclusive practice embedded throughout the apprenticeship, connecting learning directly to everyday classroom experiences.
Occupational Therapy Sensory Clinics
Practical clinic days providing opportunities to explore sensory needs and strategies to support children and young people.
Specialist SEND Workshops
Dedicated workshops designed to strengthen specialist understanding, encourage collaboration and support practical application in the workplace.

24-Month Programme

Structured development over two years, followed by the apprenticeship assessment period.

Blended, Workplace-Focused Learning

Interactive online sessions, face-to-face workshops and practical learning in your own setting.

SEND in Practice

Apply specialist strategies to adapt learning, support self-regulation and promote independence.

Guided Off-the-Job Learning

418 hours minimum, including approximately 90 hours of structured learning activities.

Personalised Assessor Support

Regular one-to-one guidance, 12-week progress reviews and access to learning resources.
